Some of my all-time favourite books. As not a huge re-reader, I think I've re-read Six of Crows and Tweet Cute multiple times.

my thoughts

Six of Crows, Leigh Bardugo

I will admit, this one initally confused me since I read this one before The Grisha Trilogy. The magic system is complex, so there's a lot of terms and names to learn.

However, what I really love about this books is the characters. The main six characters are relatable, and messy, and smart. Their interpersonal relationships are great--both romanitc and platonic.

Starfish, Akemi Dawn Bowman

This book absolutely broke me. I cried multiple times throughout. It's incredibly sad and, because of this, I've only ever read this once.

Starfish was my first book by this author, and I think I've read almost everything they've written. And I haven't been disappointed by any of it.

Before reading this, please look at the author's website for content warnings!

Emily Wilde's Encyclopaedia of Faeries, Heather Fawcett

The romance is great, I love fairies, and I love folklore. This book was practically made for me.

The main characters are all smart, and the footnotes weren't annoying at all. In fact, it added so much to the narrative.

Funny Story, Emily Henry

This one had me kicking my feet and giggling, and it balances the sweet and the serious well. The love interest has my entire heart.

A Phở Love Story, Loan Le

This and Tweet Cute have similar vibes, but this one doesn't have the online aspect. Nonetheless, family rivalries are always intriguing.

I love characters who find their thing. What they're good at, their purpose.

Tweet Cute, Emma Lord

This one is so sweet. I loved the concept of this--I'm a sucker for characters who know each other online and in-person and their dynamics are drastically different.

Whenever I need something fluffy to read, I love picking this one up.

Radio Silence, Alice Oseman

I love stories that have aspects of fandom--the good and the bad. The main character is incredibly relatable, and the platonic relationship between her and Aled is the best.

Not My Problem, Ciara Smyth

The concept of this book was so fun! I loved the characters!
