bookshelf

I've read 13 books so far this year

I'm definitely more of a fiction person, although I have read and enjoyed a few non-fiction books (one being I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy).

Otherwise, I read a lot of YA books. Mostly romance, contemporary, fantasy, and some sci-fi. I do like middle grade and adult as well.

When I was younger, I actually really disliked reading. I think it was the being forced to read and log everything. I'd end up counting to thirty, turn the page, and start again. My mom ended up figuring out and started quizzing me on the books I was claiming to read.

Once I did start reading out of my own free will, I used to read a lot of classics. Probably because they were the only books around. Examples include Little Women by Louisa May Alcott and Black Beauty by Anna Sewell. I don't think I can do that anymore, to be honest.
